Get your students' creative juices flowing on Friday 27 February by taking part in National Doodle Day! We need enthusiastic organisers to help get as many people doodling as possible to support the work of Epilepsy Action and The Neurofibromatosis Association.
Win £500 worth of stationery products for your school
Getting your school involved couldn’t be simpler. Register your interest today and we will send an organiser’s guide packed with hints, tips, certificates, template cards, and everything you need to organise a great event.

Get organising. Your doodle pack will be sent out six weeks before the event date. In the meantime check out our ‘Tips for organisers’ section below and keep an eye on our downloadable section of the website.
This year, National Doodle Day is on Friday 27 February however your event can take place whenever suits you best.
Once you have received your organiser’s pack all you need to do is get as many students doodling as possible to be in with a chance of your school winning one of our four prize categories.
For every doodle entered we ask for a suggested donation £1. So by taking part your students will not only be doodling among thousands of others, but at the same time they will be making a real difference by raising funds for two national charities.
Once all your students have submitted their doodle and £1 donation, select a doodle to represent your school for your chance to win £500 worth of BiC stationary products.
Deadline for returning doodles is Friday 27 March 2009. When sending your doodle please remember to included the name of your chosen doodler along with your cheque to the value of donations collected.

This year we have four prize categories and the winning school will not only appear in the Doodle Hall of Fame but will be sent a winner’s certificate signed by our National Doodle Day Patron, Maureen Lipman.
In addition all schools will receive a thank you certificate stating their overall fundraising total.
- Nursery school/group - £250 worth of BIC stationery products
- Primary school - £500 worth of BIC stationery products
- Secondary school - £500 worth of BIC stationery products
- Colleges - £250 worth of BIC stationery products
Here are a few tips and ideas to make the most of your National Doodle Day event:
- Get as many people doodling as possible!
- Design some posters to put up around your school advertising your doodle event. Alternatively you can download a doodle poster from the downloadable section of our website
- Advertise your event on the school's website
- Check out this year’s celebrity gallery for inspiration.
- There are no rules about what constitutes a doodle – so let your imagination run wild!
- Why not create a ‘doodle gallery’ to brighten up the school hall, corridors and reception areas - we would love to see pictures of your doodle displays – please remember to send them with your donation and chosen doodle.
- Remember, this years’ theme is ‘all about you’ but why not come up with your own?
- Remember to tell your local paper!
- Try to get parents or your local community involved.
- Above all, remember to have fun!
