letter to send to parentsDear Parents, National Doodle Day - Friday 7 March 2008 Our school is planning to take part in National Doodle Day and we hope you will be able to let your child take part. National Doodle Day is a national fundraising event that will be helping to raise vital funds for two charities, Epilepsy Action and the Neurofibromatosis Association. The event has already been supported by a host of stars including Maureen Lipman, National Doodle Day patron for 2008, Georgian Bouzova of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ fame, Fearne Cotton, Joanna Lumley and Carly Stenson from Hollyoaks. All have doodled to support National Doodle Day. To take part, children are asked to bring along £1 to school and they will then get a doodle card to doodle on. There are a number of prizes for schools taking part and all pupils who enter will also be eligible for individual prizes, including appearing alongside some of the celebrity doodlers in the Hall of Fame on the National Doodle Day website, and all winners will get a National Doodle Day certificate, signed by Maureen Lipman. If you would like your child to take part, simply complete the tear-off slip below and return with a £1 coin per child by (insert date). And why not take part yourself? Check out the National Doodle Day website www.nationaldoodleday.org.uk where you can also see all the doodles by the many celebrities supporting National Doodle Day 2008. Yours faithfully,
